Birthday Cards - Bass

Here is the bass card I created using the same idea as the previous post with the pheasant, moose, and quail stamps. I think it turned out great! I'll be giving these babies out to all those fishermen/women in my life. :-)

Rose Earrings

So I found these beads at Joann Fabrics and loved the color! I thought these would be perfect little post earrings so I sanded both surfaces of the bead and the earring post then I glued them together using E6000 glue. They were super quick to make and I think very fun!

Birthday Cards - Pheasant, Quail, and Moose

I'm apart of a card exchange and I received this cute, simple card that I thought was very striking. I decided to try making my own with stamps I have and I think it turned out just as nice as the original.

I have the Stampin Up! Walk in the Wild set  and tested this style out on all of the animals.

The moose ended up being my husband's favorite.

To achieve the circle affect I cut a hole with my Big Shot in a stickie note. Then i used a sponge, loaded it with ink and starting in the center, I swirled it around to the edges. I think the circles turned out best when it fades lighter towards the edge. The stickie note is great because the paper stay in place and you only need one finger to hold down the bottom.

I have a bass stamp that I want to try this on too. I'll have to post that one up here too when I get it done!

Yellow Knot Beaded Necklace

Lately, I've been loving the color yellow. Of course nothing can replace my favorite color orange but yellow has been catching my eye. I decided to pick up some yellow multi colored beads and make an easy multi strand necklace.

Here's the materials I used (I didn't end up using any crimp beads):

To start, I clamp all my strands together and started filling them with a variety of beads in the same style on an entire string.

Once you get all your strands strung with beads, I put a simple overhand knot in it.

I added some large cone beads to cover the strand clamps.

My necklace ended up a little tight so I added some more jump rings to give me a little more length.

It's a very fun pop of color that was actually pretty simple to make!

Mr & Mrs Card

A friend found this cute idea on Pinterest to do for her wedding thank you's. I tried to recreate it with materials I have and I think it turned out just as cute as the original.

The mustache is a punch and the lips are a stamp I had. (Since making this card I have picked up a smaller stamp of lips.) I popped the mustache and lips with dimensional stickers. The "Mr. & Mrs." are from an alphabet stamp set I had.

I was thinking of making this card to be used for a wedding gift. I would put a "congratulations" of some sort on the inside.

If you're a card maker I suggest looking at the materials you have and try making your own rendition with what you already have. Maybe a beer glass and a martini glass instead of lips and a mustache... Get creative.

lawn fawn catalog challenge - Spring Chicken Card

Lawn fawn is doing their annual contest for paper crafts made with their stamps. The contest ends tomorrow December 9th so I'm cutting it close. I might cut it closer tomorrow with another card...

Future Mrs. Thank you Card

A friend pinned an image on Pinterest that she liked of a thank you card. I looked at it and thought to myself, I can totally do that!

So, I opened up word document and got to work. I created this fun and easy thank you card for her for her bridal shower gifts. I found some clip art of an engagement ring and with a little formatting it was ready to print out.

You are welcome to do it yourself. Or take the work that I've already done and make it your own! By clicking this link, you will be taken to my Google Drive document that you can download and then edit (or click the image above). 

It is a word document so you can change the "future" to be the wedding color and modify the name so it matches what your's (or your friend's) will be. Once you have it updated, all you have to do is pick up some cardstock paper and envelopes. You can cut the paper in half and you will have two cards to fold and fill out.
